1. Connect your video source
Tappla does not host videos. You need to connect a video source such as Vimeo, a JSON feed, or add manual videos.
Tappla automatically syncs your content every 24–48 hours (except for manual videos, which must be updated manually).
2. Customize your app
Use the Tappla dashboard to brand your app with your logo, colors, and layout.
Changes are instant and can be tested right away.
3. Preview your demo app
Download the Tappla demo app on your TV device.
Enter your demo code (sent to you by email) to preview your app with your own content.
Test the navigation, design, and content flow before moving on.
4. Prepare for publishing
Depending on the platform, additional steps are required:
Apple TV (tvOS)
App Store Product Page: Provide your app’s name, description, keywords, and screenshots. Submit your details here →
Apple Developer Account: Enroll in the Apple Developer Program (USD 99/year). Create an Organization Account, otherwise you cannot invite Tappla as a team member.
Invite Tappla: Grant Tappla access to your Apple Developer / App Store Connect account (with “Developer Resources” permissions). Instructions here →
Roku
Tappla builds a custom Roku SDK app for you.
You will need a Roku Developer account and to invite Tappla so we can submit the app under your account.
Fire TV
Amazon shut down the Amazon Creator tool.
Tappla is working on a custom Fire TV SDK app (similar to Apple TV and Roku).
In the meantime, contact Tappla Support for the latest publishing options.
5. Final steps before submission
Upgrade to a Tappla Premium plan to move forward with publishing.
No charges are made until 7 days after your app is approved.
If you’re still testing, contact us to extend your trial.
Timeline: Once all information is provided, submission and approval usually takes 1–2 weeks, depending on Apple’s/Roku’s review times.
6. Go live 🎉
Once approved, your app will be live in the App Store / Roku Channel Store.
You’ll be able to share the store link with your audience.
