When we fix or improve something in your app, we put the new app file on your download page at apps.tappla.com. It is the same link you already have, and the new file replaces the old one there.
How to update it
Download the new app file from your download page.
In the Amazon Developer Console, open your app and add a new version, then upload the new file.
Submit it for review. Once Amazon approves it, viewers who already installed your app get the update automatically.
Your listing text and images stay as they are. You only need to replace the app file.
Always upload the new file, never the old one
Amazon only accepts an update if the app's version number is higher than the version already in your listing. An upload with the same or a lower version number is rejected.
We raise the version number every time we send you a new build, so as long as you upload the file from your download page, this takes care of itself. If you re-upload a file you downloaded earlier, Amazon will refuse it.
New videos do not need an app update
This only applies to changes we make to the app itself, such as a fix or a new feature. Your content is separate: new videos and new Showcases flow through your feed and appear in the app on their own, with no new version and no resubmission. See Fire TV: do I need to refresh my app when I add videos?
Not published to the Amazon Appstore yet? Then there is nothing to update: just use the newest file from your download page for your first submission. See Will my Fire TV app be on the Amazon Appstore, and how do people find and download it?
