Roku allows displaying video ads in your Roku Direct Publisher channel.
Direct publisher channels using our Roku feed can have a pre-roll ad inserted into your video content.
(If you want mid-roll ads, please contact us. We are working on a new feature to add custom adBreaks fields to your Roku feed from Vimeo. These adBreak fields allow you to set up your videos for mid-roll ad breaks).
To enable video ad monetization in Roku Direct Publisher you need to enter an Ad-Server URL.
Using Google AdSense as an ad server:
If you do not have your own ad server, one option could be to use Google AdSense.
To get the right ad-server URL generate it as described in this help article from adsense: https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/6054303?hl=en&ref_topic=1706004 (Select as video ad technology: Direct SDK instead of IMA Adapter).
Ad revenue split by Roku:
70% of the advertising inventory is controlled by you and you keep 100% of the gross revenue earned on these ads. The other 30% of the advertising revenue is controlled by Roku.
