Yes, and you get more out of it than a stream URL would give you.
Viloud builds a 24/7 channel out of a library of videos. If you paste the stream URL into Tappla as a single video, your app shows one tile: whatever is on air right now. Connecting Viloud properly gives you both halves — the live channel and every video scheduled on it, browsable, with its own title, description, thumbnail and duration.
Connecting it
Go to Video Source in your dashboard and pick Viloud. You need one thing: your channel ID.
Open the channel in Viloud. The ID is the 32-character code in its address.
It is also in the stream URL you may already have:
app.viloud.tv/hls/channel/ID.m3u8— paste the whole URL if that is easier, we take the ID out of it.There is no API key. Viloud serves channel data openly, so there is nothing to generate, store or rotate.
Have several channels? Put one ID per line. Each becomes its own playlist.
What your app ends up with
A Live row. The first channel you connect is set up as your app's live channel, switched on, pointing at Viloud's 24/7 stream. That is the row your viewers reach for first, and on Roku and Fire TV it gets the live presenter.
A playlist per channel, holding the videos that channel broadcasts. A viewer who does not want to join mid-programme can pick an episode and watch it from the start.
Both at once is the point. You are not choosing between a linear channel and a library.
We set your live channel up once, then leave it alone. Its title, description, offline message and artwork are yours to change on the Live stream page, and no sync will overwrite them. If you already had a live stream configured before connecting Viloud, we do not touch it at all.

Keeping it in sync
Your channels re-sync on their own roughly every 36 hours. The Re-sync now button on the Video Source page pulls immediately, which is what you want after adding videos in Viloud and wanting to see them on the TV today.
If a channel stops answering, we do not blank your app. The previous version keeps serving and the sync tries again — better a slightly old catalogue than an empty television.
A note on what is public
Viloud's channel data is served without a key, which is what makes the setup this simple. The flip side is that anyone who has your channel ID — and it is visible in the stream URL wherever you embed it — can list your titles and reach the individual video files.
That is how Viloud is built rather than anything misconfigured on your side, and for most channels it does not matter. If your content is not meant to be freely reachable, ask Viloud what their plan offers for restricting it, and tell us before you change anything: your TV app plays that same stream, and a restriction can lock it out.
Still in Beta
Viloud is new and marked Beta. It works and it is supported, but it is not offered during signup yet — connect it from Video Source in your dashboard once your account exists. Tell us how it goes; that feedback is what takes the label off.
